Happy New Year! It’s insane that we are beginning a new year again. Time flies when you’re having fun! Last year, I made a vision board for 2024. It was old school: cutting out words and pictures from magazines and gluing them onto a white poster board. I taped my 2024 board next to my bed so I could see it each morning when I woke up.
This year, I decided to do a digital vision board. Nothing too crazy, just a simple graphic showing a few things I want to work on this year.
Travel
We have a few loose plans for trips this year. Going to Philly in the spring to see family. Big Florida trip planned in June for my son’s birthday which will include a few days at Disney. (His first time!) I am hoping to get the family up to D.C. to visit my brother and brother-in-law sometime in the fall.
Health
I plan to continue meditating nightly through this year. I am going on year 3 of meditation practice and it’s been a game changer for me.
In March, I will finish up my Yoga Teacher Training. It will be a long time coming but a journey I have enjoyed thoroughly. My plans after training? Maybe teach. We will see where the winds take me. I will be open to anything!
Since I am turning 36 this year, I plan to prioritize a skincare routine this year. I am lazy when it comes to skincare. But my mom who has incredible skin got me a few skincare products for Christmas and I’m enjoying them so far! While aging is bound to happen, I’m going to put in the work to make sure I do it gracefully!
Family Time
Continuing on last year’s goal of family dinners… we will continue in 2025. We will host game nights, which my parents did for us growing up. My son is now at the age where he can start playing some of the same games I did as a child.
We will also hike more in 2025. Judd got a State Park pass for his birthday and we plan to take advantage of that! Hopefully, once the weather warms, we will be hiking every weekend.
Home & Garden
We have one home project on the docket: refreshing our half bathroom downstairs. Hoping to replace the pedestal sink with a cabinet one, paint the walls, and replace the mirror.
For the garden: this spring we will plant our 2nd vegetable garden in this home. I still have to figure out what plants I want this year since last year we had some troubles. (Squash is a No No!) I also want to plant a flowering plant like roses. I’d love something to go to in my garden and pick fresh flowers off of.
Hobbies
2025 is going to see more reading, writing, and of course, cooking more. Once I am done with YTT, I have a TBR list I’ll be working my way through. Writing on this Substack has been a lot of fun lately so I hope to continue. Cooking is a given every year…this year I hope to incorporate my son helping more which he enjoys doing.
What are your goals for 2025? Do you create a vision board?
